โ„๏ธ Seven-Day NSS Winter Camp Concludes with Enthusiasm and Community Spirit at Government Degree College Bishnah ๐ŸŒŸ

To raise public awareness and sensitize society about contemporary issues, the NSS Unit of Government Degree College Bishnah successfully organized a seven-day Winter Camp from 9th to 15th February 2026 within the college campus. The camp witnessed active participation, community outreach, and meaningful engagement from student volunteers. The camp commenced on the first day with the registration of 43 enthusiastic NSS volunteers, followed by an inaugural session marking the beginning of a week filled with learning and service. ๐ŸŽ‰ On the second day, the volunteers carried out a cleanliness drive at a nearby Shiv Temple ๐Ÿ›•. They cleaned the temple premises, swept the surroundings, and helped organize the area. The temple priest appreciated their efforts and distributed prasad as a token of gratitude. The third day began with the morning assembly, after which volunteers visited Boys' Higher Secondary School, Bishnah, to engage students in a discussion on โ€œViksit Bharatโ€ ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ. The interactive session encouraged school students to share their ideas, while NSS volunteers contributed valuable insights on national development. On the fourth day, the team visited SIRS School for a thought-provoking discussion on โ€œNasha Mukt Bharatโ€ ๐Ÿšซ. School students presented creative models highlighting the harmful effects of addiction, and NSS volunteers elaborated on its causes, prevention, and the importance of a drug-free society. The fifth day featured a Medical Camp ๐Ÿฅ organized at the college campus. A team of doctors conducted health screenings for NSS volunteers, college staff, and students, as well as staff and students from nearby higher secondary schools. Medicines were distributed and essential health advice was provided. On the sixth day, a rejuvenating Yoga Session ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ was conducted by Pt. Yashpal Khajuria from Patanjali, who guided participants on incorporating yoga into their daily routines for a healthier lifestyle. This was followed by a vibrant Rangoli Competition ๐ŸŽจ based on the theme of AIDS awareness, spreading messages of prevention and social responsibility. The camp concluded on the seventh day with a grand Valedictory Function ๐ŸŽŠ. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp was performed by Principal Dr. Shallu Samyal, followed by the NSS song. Volunteers presented a traffic awareness skit ๐Ÿšฆ and a mobile addiction skit ๐Ÿ“ฑ, spreading powerful social messages. Two volunteers also captivated the audience with a melodious song ๐ŸŽถ.
