GDC BISHNAH celebrated National Sports Day.

NSS Wing of GDC Bishnah in collabration with the Department of Physical education and Sports organized National sports Day 2026 on the theme" Khelega Bharat , Jeetega Bharat " under the guidance of Dr. Shallu Samyal, principal of the college . On this occasion fifty students participated enthusically in different games like Kabaddi , Shot put , Discus throw & Skipping rope. The sports events commenced with the lightning of torch by the chief guest Dr. Rajni Bhagat, Principal GDC Kakryal. She handed over the torch to the students who passed it to each other and finally placed it before the portriat of Major Dhyan Chand . As the day is being celebrated to commemorate the birthday of Major Dhyan Chand , hockey legend, so a floral tribute was offered to Major DhyanChand by faculty & students .The event culminated with National Anthem and prize distribution ceremony. The Principal, Dr. shallu Samyal also addressed the students and stressed them to play games and abstain from drugs.
