GDC Bishnah Shines at One-Day Conclave on Emerging Technologies and Startup Ecosystems.

The students of Government Degree College Bishnah participated in a One-Day Conclave held at Government Degree College Ramgarh on 15th September 2026 on the theme “Igniting Innovation: Emerging Technology Trends and Startup Ecosystems.” The event brought together students from various colleges of the Jammu Division, providing them with a platform to showcase their creativity, innovation, and understanding of emerging technologies. The students of GDC Bishnah enthusiastically participated in various events, including Model Making and Poster Making, based on the theme “Sustainable Energy.” Their participation reflected their creativity, scientific temperament, and commitment to addressing contemporary environmental challenges through innovative ideas. The college achieved a remarkable accomplishment as its students bagged the First Prize in the Model Making Competition. The winning model on the topic “SELF SUSTAINABLE VILLAGE” demonstrated the students’ understanding of sustainable energy solutions and their ability to present scientific concepts in an innovative and practical manner. The students also presented their ideas confidently, explained the working and relevance of their model effectively, and responded well to questions and interactions during the event. The students were meticulously prepared for the conclave by the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and the Science Club of GDC Bishnah. Their preparation focused on developing innovative models, improving presentation skills, strengthening conceptual understanding, and encouraging students to think creatively about sustainable solutions. An expert talk on “AI and Cyber Security” was also delivered by Dr Ashma Gupta, faculty member of GDC Bishnah. The session highlighted the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in contemporary society and emphasized the importance of cyber awareness, responsible technology use, and digital security in the emerging technological landscape. The students were prepared and accompanied by Dr Sonika Khajuria, IIC Convenor and Science Club Incharge; Dr Ashma Gupta, Incharge, Science Club; and Ms. Rajinder Kour. Their guidance and encouragement played an important role in ensuring the active participation and successful performance of the students. The achievement was appreciated by the Principal of GDC Bishnah, Dr Shallu Samyal, whose guidance and encouragement continue to support the institution’s efforts towards innovation, scientific learning, and holistic student development. The participation of students from different colleges across the Jammu Division made the conclave a meaningful platform for academic exchange, creativity, and innovation. GDC Bishnah distinguished itself through its enthusiastic participation, confident presentations, and outstanding achievement in the Model Making Competition, bringing pride to the institution.
